Grappling, Judo & BJJ Athlete

I am Genis Bunjaku, a Swiss-Kosovar athlete competing in Judo, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Grappling, active in major international competitive circuits such as ADCC, IBJJF and other Grappling tours.

My martial arts journey began with Judo, a discipline that built the foundations of my fighting style. After about nine years of practice I started training in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Grappling as well, expanding my ground game. I also trained boxing for a period, an experience that helped improve my explosiveness, coordination and distance management.

Thanks to this multidisciplinary background I have developed a dynamic, explosive yet strategic style, combining the standing game from Judo and boxing with the technical ground work of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Grappling.

This path has allowed me to become a complete fighter, with solid foundations in both standing and ground combat, continuing to grow and compete on the international Grappling scene.

The Road Ahead

My goal is to reach the highest competitive level in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Grappling and Judo internationally. I aim to qualify and compete in the most prestigious tournaments, such as the IBJJF World Championship and the ADCC Trials.

In the long term I aspire to become a reference athlete in my category, representing Kosovo in international circuits. My journey is driven by the ambition to demonstrate that being multidisciplinary in combat sports is a great advantage: combining Judo, BJJ and Grappling allows me to develop a complete, dynamic and competitive style.

I want to keep growing, constantly improving and proving that with dedication, discipline and a competitive mindset it is possible to reach the highest levels in sport.

How I Train

See it to believe it. My preparation is completely different from anything you might imagine. It is a brand new method, tested and designed by my coach and performance specialist Fabio Guglielmini.

The training is based on a precise scientific framework applied at both athletic and holistic levels. Clear goals, nothing left to chance: specific and targeted programming in sessions with Fabio, or individual-specific work with dedicated monitoring. A simple, clear and engaging method for athletes.

His innovative method includes well-defined foundations; one in particular I always emphasize is risk calculation. Fabio is the true definition of a 360° work machine and always ensures the risk calculation stays within a sustainable threshold. For him, the body is sacred: maximum care and respect, while still incredibly improving skills and proprioception.

He is the most complete and prepared person I have ever found — no fluff, only objective data. That is why I rely on him and strongly recommend him to any athlete or person. He has an extraordinary ability to solve any problem with a completely innovative approach.
